# Client access The web client runs on our servers, so your accounts stay online even when your computer is off. It requires a paid subscription and a valid payment method. ## Steps 1. Visit [minecraftafk.com/pricing/](https://minecraftafk.com/pricing/). 2. Pick a plan and click **Subscribe**. Use the toggle to switch between monthly and yearly billing. 3. Sign up with your preferred authentication method. 4. Pay using a valid payment option. 5. You're done. Open the [dashboard](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/) and start AFK'ing. ## Setting up your client After setting up your account, here's the next steps to connect to a server 1. [Add a server](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/add-a-server/) 2. [Add your accounts](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/add-your-accounts/) 3. [Connect to a server](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/connect-to-a-server/) ## What you get All plans keep your accounts AFK 24/7 with your computer turned off. Higher tiers unlock more accounts, more features and a guaranteed connection to servers with VPN blocks. For a full feature breakdown, see the [web client plans](https://minecraftafk.com/web/). # Add a server Our client allows you to create multiple server profiles so you can AFK on multiple Minecraft servers at the same time even using the same accounts. Here's how to create a server profile. ## Add a server 1. Visit [minecraftafk.com/dashboard/servers/](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/servers/). 2. Click the top left button "Add Server". 1. **Setup**: Write the server profile name and server IP. Click next. 2. **Join**: Create any join flow you want. Check out [Macros](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/macros/) 3. **Accounts**: Add any accounts you want. Check out [Add your accounts](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/add-your-accounts/) # Add your accounts We do not provide Minecraft accounts, you will need to add your own accounts that you want to keep online. We can only recommend getting accounts from [Minecraft.net](https://minecraft.net){rel=""nofollow""}. ## Add an account 1. Visit [minecraftafk.com/dashboard/accounts/](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/accounts/). 2. Click the top left button "Add Account". 3. Select "Microsoft" for Java & Bedrock (opens the Microsoft authentication flow) or "Offline/cracked" for offline accounts (these can only be used on offline servers). 4. Repeat these steps for every account you want to use. # Connect to a server You need to have completed both of these: 1. [Add a server](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/add-a-server/) 2. [Add your accounts](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/add-your-accounts/) ## Connecting to a server 1. Visit [minecraftafk.com/dashboard/](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/). 2. Click the server profile you wish to connect to. 3. Add your accounts to the server profile. 4. Click the top left "Connect Selected" button or the red "Offline" button in the status column of the account row. # VPN blocks Some servers block VPN and proxy traffic. The web client routes connections through a proxy by default, so those servers can flag and reject your accounts unless the proxy is high quality enough to slip through. ## Full vs. half block - **Full block** explicitly tells you something like *"You can't join the server using a VPN"*. - **Half block** silently disconnects you without mentioning VPNs. It's the same proxy detection, just quieter. ## Tier breakdown - **Tier 1 & 2**: proxies are lower quality, so they're often unreliable on VPN-blocked servers. - **Tier 3**: guaranteed connection to any server. If your proxy fails on a known-blocked server, we replace it for you. ## Servers known to require Tier 3 Here's our list of servers known to generally require a VPN bypassing proxy: - RAPY.GG - DaniSMP - GommeHD - ChickenNW - OneBlockMC - Jartex - Pika Network Any server with a country-specific TLD (`.pl`, `.tr`, and so on) usually needs a proxy from that country. ## Server blacklist **Superawesome** (`superawesome.dk`) can't be connected to on any tier. If you bought a plan only for that server and don't use it elsewhere, contact support for a refund. # Link Discord to your web subscription Linking your Discord account to your web subscription gives you priority support in our Discord server. ## Steps 1. Open your [settings page](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/user/settings/) in the dashboard. 2. Under **Login methods**, find the Discord row and click **Connect**. 3. Login through Discord. You're sent back to your settings, where the Discord row now shows your username and a **Connected** badge. ## What changes after linking - You get the web subscriber role. - You now get priority support. - Discord becomes one of your login methods, so you can sign in with it from then on. ## Changed your mind? The same row has a **Disconnect** button once Discord is linked. Connecting a different Discord account is a matter of disconnecting the old one and clicking **Connect** again. Not in the server yet? That's where the role and the support channels live: [join here](https://discord.gg/9PKUJxbz2S){rel=""nofollow""}. # Minehut captcha bypass Minehut shows a captcha when an account joins. It is a human-interaction test by design, so a bot cannot answer it: your account connects, gets held in Minehut's verification area, and stays there. Nothing is broken, nothing in the logs says anything, and the account reports Online the whole time. It is just not on the server yet. You answer it yourself, from the dashboard. [POV](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/pov/) draws the bot's live view in your browser and sends your mouse and your chat as that account, so the captcha is answered by the player standing in front of it. No Minecraft install, no second client, no extra step before you connect. ## Before you start - A paid plan, with the Minecraft account already added in the dashboard. - A server profile pointing at `minehut.gg` (or `minehut.com`), with that account attached. That is all. This is done in the browser. ## Answer the captcha 1. **Connect the account** from the profile's Connect tab, the same way you would on any other server. It joins Minehut and lands in the verification area. 2. **Click the captcha button** beside that account's status, the shield with a question mark on it. It opens that bot's POV, fullscreen, on the account you clicked. 3. **Look around.** Move the mouse to turn the bot's head. The captcha is usually a wall of maps in item frames a short way in front of you, and the view repaints it within a few seconds each time Minehut changes it. 4. **Answer it.** Most of the time that means reading the code off the wall and typing it in chat: press **T**, type it, press Enter. If the check asks you to click something instead, left click hits or breaks what the crosshair is on, and right click uses or opens it. 5. **Watch the chat.** Minehut's own instructions and its pass or fail reply come through the chat overlay, so you can see whether the answer took without leaving the view. 6. **Press Esc to leave** once it clears. The bot stays connected, past the captcha, and carries on AFK as normal. ::note The captcha button sits on every account row on a Minehut profile, at every status. Whether a given account has already answered is Minehut's to know and it never tells us, so the button is always there rather than appearing only when you are stuck. :: ## If you cannot see the captcha - **Turn around.** The view opens facing wherever the bot's head was left, and the wall is often behind or beside you. Mouse look is the fix; **F5** for third person can help you get your bearings. - **Check the bot is Online.** POV only draws the world for a connected bot. An offline one shows its connect button and nothing else. - **Give it a few seconds.** The map wall is fetched on its own clock, so a fresh join or a repaint takes a moment to appear. - **Try the pause and reopen.** Pressing **Esc** twice leaves the view, and the fullscreen button on the bot's card in the [POV](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/pov/) tab opens it again. ## When you have to do it again Minehut ties the answer to the account **and** the address it joined from, so the captcha comes back whenever either changes: - **A new account.** Every account answers its own captcha. - **A new proxy.** Moving an account onto a different proxy, or buying extra proxies and reassigning it, is a new address as far as Minehut is concerned. A setup that worked yesterday will stop working the moment the proxy under it changes. There is nothing to reset and nothing to tell us about. Connect, open POV on that account, answer it again. ## Or do it from your own Minecraft client POV is the short way round, and it is the one to reach for. If you would rather be in the real game for this, the **Minecraft connections** card on your [settings page](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/user/settings/) still does the same job: add `mc.minecraftafk.com` in Minecraft, join it, approve the link that appears in the game chat, then pick your account and play through your bot's connection. You are on the same address the bot connects from, so a captcha answered there counts for the bot too. ## If it still does not work - **Check the profile address.** `minehut.gg` and `minehut.com` both work; a typo does not. Our [server compatibility checker](https://minecraftafk.com/tools/server-ping/) will tell you whether the address is reachable at all. - **Check you answered on the right account.** The captcha counts for the account you were driving, not for every account on the profile. The POV header names the bot you are in. - **Check the account is not mid-macro.** A bot with a [macro](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/macros/) pass running stands its controls down, and the card header names the macro holding it. Press **Take over** to get the keyboard back. - **Still stuck?** The kick message on the Connect tab is what our support will ask for. Bring it to our [Discord](https://discord.gg/9PKUJxbz2S){rel=""nofollow""} or email . If a server blocks you outright rather than asking for a captcha, that is a different problem: see [VPN blocks](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/faq/vpn-blocks/). # How do I get stars on HugoSMP? **Stars** are HugoSMP's passive currency. You earn them while your account sits in the AFK zone, which you reach with the `/afk` command. ## How to earn stars 1. Connect to HugoSMP. 2. Run `/afk` to enter the AFK zone. The [HugoSMP setup](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/add-a-server/) does this for you with a join macro when you create the profile from the preset. 3. Stay online. Stars accrue for as long as the account stays in the zone. Downtime is the only thing that lowers this. Disconnects, kicks and server restarts all cut into earnings, and anti-AFK kicks are the biggest leak. See [Anti-AFK](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/anti-afk/). ## Why only one of your accounts is earning HugoSMP pays stars to **one account per IP address**. Put five accounts in the AFK zone from the same IP and all five stay online, but only one of them earns. This is the part that catches people out, because nothing looks wrong. Every account connects, every status is green, and the dashboard counts them all as online. The server just quietly declines to pay four of them. Every account on your plan connects through one shared private IP by default, so out of the box every account past the first is in this situation. ## The fix Give each account its own IP by assigning it to its own [proxy](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/proxies/). 1. Buy proxies from your server profile's **Proxies** tab, one per extra account you want earning. 2. Drag each account onto a proxy of its own. 3. Reconnect. Each account is now on a separate IP, so each one earns stars. An account has to be fully disconnected before its proxy can be changed, so stop them first if they are already running. ## Don't only AFK HugoSMP allows AFK and pays you for it, but it is also known to have banned accounts that never did anything else. It is not a certainty, just a possibility worth planning around, so play on your accounts yourself now and then. See [Can I get banned for only AFKing?](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/faq/afk-only-bans/). ::note Server rules change. HugoSMP set this limit, not us, so check their Discord or website if the behaviour you are seeing does not match what is described here. :: # Can I get banned for only AFKing? **HugoSMP** and **DonutSMP** both allow AFK, and both pay you for it. Both are also known to have banned accounts that never did anything else, and possibly other servers do too. It is not a certainty, but it is possible, and it is worth planning around. ## Which servers this applies to HugoSMP and DonutSMP are the two flagged in the dashboard, because those are the ones this has been seen on. They are not necessarily the only ones, and possibly other servers do the same without it ever reaching us. Nothing on this page is specific to those two. Any server that allows AFK can still take a dim view of an account that has never done anything else, so read this as advice for whichever server you are on. ## How likely is it? No server publishes a rule saying "AFK only and you are banned", so nobody can give you a number. What there is instead is a pattern: accounts that have done nothing but AFK for a long stretch sometimes get actioned, and accounts that mix AFK with real play generally do not. That makes this a possibility to reduce rather than a threshold you can sit just under. The line is a moderator's judgement about an account, not a timer. ## How to make it less likely 1. **Play on your accounts.** Log in yourself, build, trade, run the odd farm by hand. It does not take much, it just has to be there. 2. **Spread it around.** If you run several accounts, an account that has genuinely never been played is the one that stands out. 3. **Read the server's own rules.** Every server publishes them, and every server changes them without telling us. ## Anti-AFK movement is not the answer here [Anti-AFK](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/anti-afk/) exists to stop the server disconnecting an idle session, and it is very good at that. It is not a disguise. A moderator looking at an account sees the same thing either way: an account that has been online for three weeks and has never opened a chest. Use anti-AFK to protect your uptime. Use actual play to protect the account. ## What we can and can't tell you MinecraftAFK connects as a normal Minecraft client and only does things a real player could do. See [Is AFK Console Client safe?](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/faq/is-afk-console-client-safe/) for what that covers. What it cannot do is decide how a server's staff feel about an account, and that is what this comes down to. ::note Server rules change, and so does how strictly they are enforced. The server decides this, not us, so check their Discord or website if what you are seeing does not match what is described here. :: # What are bot physics? **Bot physics** controls how your accounts respond to environmental forces in the world. ## With physics enabled Accounts behave like normal players. They fall when blocks beneath them are removed, interact with water (sliding, sinking), and can be pushed by other entities. ## With physics disabled Accounts ignore environmental forces. They float in place regardless of water or gravity, don't fall when supports are removed, and aren't pushed around by other entities. Disabling physics may be against the server rules. Ask the server admins before turning it off. ## When to disable physics Disable physics when you want an account to hold an exact position: a specific block in an AFK pool, a fishing spot, or a farm where being pushed off by mobs or flowing water would break the setup. With physics off, the account stays put no matter what happens around it. ## When to leave physics on Leave physics enabled for normal play and for servers that check whether a player reacts to the world like a real client. Many anti-cheat systems expect players to fall, take knockback, and drift with water, so keeping physics on makes the account behave like a regular player. # Can I AFK with my computer turned off? Yes. The [web client](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/client-access/) runs on our servers, so your accounts keep connecting even when your computer or phone is off. ## Why use the web client - Accounts stay online 24/7 regardless of what your devices are doing. - Manage everything from your phone or any browser. - No electricity cost or wear on your own hardware. - Always updated to the latest Minecraft version. The web client runs on our servers, so your accounts stay connected 24/7. It will stay online if you shut down your PC, if you sleep your laptop, if the power cuts out, if your router reboots, or your phone runs out of power. You only need a device and a browser when you want to manage your accounts, start or stop them. # How do I AFK in singleplayer? MinecraftAFK is built for connecting accounts to Minecraft **servers**. Every feature (auto-reconnect, anti-AFK, chat, proxies) exists to keep an account logged into a server. A singleplayer world has no login session to hold, no chat to route, and no connection to reconnect, so there's nothing for the client to manage. If you're trying to AFK on a multiplayer server, start with [Client access](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/client-access/) and [Connect to a server](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/connect-to-a-server/) instead. ## The closest workaround If you're sure you want to AFK your singleplayer world, open it to LAN from the host machine and connect a second account to that LAN address. The host computer still has to stay on, which defeats the usual reason for going AFK. For genuine hands-off, computer-off uptime, run a small server and connect to it with the [web client](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/client-access/). # How do I get shards on DonutSMP? **Shards** are DonutSMP's passive currency. You earn them just for staying connected, no matter where you are on the server, then spend them in `/shardshop`. DonutSMP changed how shards work. You used to earn 1 shard per minute in the `/afk` lobbies. Now you earn **1 shard every 10 minutes anywhere on the server**, so you can AFK your own farm and collect shards at the same time. ## How to earn shards 1. Connect to DonutSMP. 2. Stay online anywhere on the server. The `/afk` lobbies are no longer required. 3. Don't disconnect. You earn **1 shard every 10 minutes** for as long as your account stays connected. ## How many shards you earn The rate is flat, 6 per hour with no diminishing returns, so earnings scale directly with uptime: | Time online | Shards earned | | ------------------- | ------------- | | 1 hour | 6 | | 8 hours (overnight) | 48 | | 24 hours | 144 | | 7 days | 1,008 | | 30 days | 4,320 | Downtime is the only thing that lowers this. Disconnects, kicks, and server restarts all cut into earnings, and anti-AFK kicks are the biggest leak. See [Anti-AFK](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/anti-afk/). ## Don't only AFK DonutSMP pays you to stay connected, but it is also known to have banned accounts that never did anything else. It is not a certainty, just a possibility worth planning around, so play on your accounts yourself now and then. See [Can I get banned for only AFKing?](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/faq/afk-only-bans/). ## What to spend shards on Spend shards in `/shardshop`. Most items there are obtainable through vanilla gameplay, but a few are not, and those non-vanilla items are the best value. Use them yourself or flip them in the auction house. See [How to get rich on DonutSMP by AFKing shards](https://minecraftafk.com/blog/get-shards-on-donutsmp/) for the full strategy. # What are the best settings? For maximum uptime, configure these four together. The combination handles drops, kicks, and accidental lobby returns automatically. 1. **Auto-reconnect**: keeps accounts joined when something drops them, such as a server restart, a network blip, or a queue kick. Without it, a single drop ends your session. 2. **Anti-AFK**: stops servers kicking accounts for inactivity. Most servers kick players who don't move or interact for a few minutes, and small periodic movements reset that timer. See [Anti-AFK](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/features/anti-afk/). 3. **Join and world-change message macros**: set both to your destination command, for example `/server survival`. Accounts re-route themselves on every connect or world transition, so they never get stranded in a lobby. 4. **Spam command**: the same command on a **60 second** delay. It's the safety net for when a join or world-change message fails to fire. ## Tuning the delay A 60-second spam delay is a good default. Lower it if the server kicks accounts faster than that, and raise it if a server rate-limits commands and warns about spam. # How do I manage my plan? You manage your subscription through the dashboard. ## Steps 1. Open the [dashboard](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/). 2. Open your user menu and go to [Billing](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/user/billing/). 3. Under **Quick actions**, pick what you need: **Update subscription plan** to upgrade or downgrade, or **Cancel plan** to stop renewing. ## How billing changes take effect - **Upgrades** apply immediately. You only pay the difference between your current plan and the new one for the rest of the billing period, so you're never charged twice for the same days. - **Downgrades** take effect at your next renewal. You keep your current tier's features until then, so nothing is interrupted mid-period. - **Cancellations** stop the next renewal but leave your access intact until the end of the period you've already paid for. ## What happens to your data Your accounts, server profiles, proxies, and settings are kept if you cancel or downgrade. If you resubscribe later, everything is where you left it, so you can pick up without reconfiguring from scratch. Past invoices are listed at the bottom of the [billing page](https://minecraftafk.com/dashboard/user/billing/), and **Update billing details** on that same page is where you change your payment method. If you've lost access to the Discord account you bought through, see [Link Discord to your web subscription](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/faq/link-discord/). # Is AFK Console Client safe? Yes. Here's exactly what that means and why. ## Account authentication We use **Microsoft's official OAuth flow** to authenticate Minecraft accounts. When you click "Add account", you're redirected to `login.live.com` and sign in directly with Microsoft. Your password is entered into Microsoft's page, not ours. Microsoft hands us a short-lived authentication token, which is what we use to connect your account to servers. We never see, store, or process your Microsoft password. The same is true for any 2FA codes, recovery emails, or security questions, which all stay between you and Microsoft. Offline-mode accounts have no password at all and connect by username only. ## Will my account get banned? The bot behaves like a standard Minecraft client. It only sends actions a real player could perform: moving, jumping, chatting, opening menus. There's no aim-bot, no x-ray, no fly-hack, nothing a real player can't do. That said, **every server's rules are different**. Some servers (Hypixel, for example) prohibit unattended gameplay. Others (DonutSMP) actively reward AFKing with passive income. Always check the rules of the specific server you're playing on. We document known server-specific behavior in [VPN blocks](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/faq/vpn-blocks/). ## Privacy and data handling - We collect what's needed to run your subscription: email, Discord ID, Microsoft account UUIDs, server configurations. - We don't sell, share, or rent your data to advertisers. - Account chat logs are stored for debugging and are visible to you in the dashboard. - Full details are in our [privacy policy](https://minecraftafk.com/legal/privacy/). ## How long has MinecraftAFK been running? Since 2022. We're a small team, but the service has been continuously online for several years and currently serves thousands of paying users. You can read independent reviews on [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/minecraftafk.com){rel=""nofollow""}. ## What's the actual risk? 1. **Your specific server bans AFK.** Check its rules before connecting. 2. **Server-side anti-cheat false positives.** Rare, but possible on servers with aggressive detection. The web client uses standard Minecraft protocol, so this is uncommon. 3. **Your account is compromised through another route** (for example, reusing passwords elsewhere). We can't prevent that, but our OAuth flow means a breach of our servers wouldn't expose your Microsoft credentials. Have a specific concern? Ask in our [Discord](https://discord.gg/9PKUJxbz2S){rel=""nofollow""} and we'll walk through the technical details. # Does MinecraftAFK support Bedrock? Yes. MinecraftAFK supports both **Java Edition**, **Bedrock Edition** and **Offline/cracked** accounts. ## Adding accounts Bedrock accounts authenticate through Microsoft, the same OAuth flow as Java. Your password stays with Microsoft and we only receive a short-lived auth token. Once added, Bedrock accounts appear in the dashboard alongside any Java accounts and can be connected to compatible servers. See [Add your accounts](https://minecraftafk.com/docs/getting-started/add-your-accounts/) for the full setup, which is the same for both editions. ## Which servers work with Bedrock - **Bedrock-only servers** that allow standard client logins. - **Cross-play servers** running Geyser, GeyserMC, or similar Java Bedrock bridges. Not sure whether a server supports Bedrock? Check it with our [server compatibility checker](https://minecraftafk.com/tools/server-ping/). ## Differences from Java Bedrock and Java are separate editions with different network protocols and version numbering. The dashboard handles edition-specific behavior automatically, so you don't configure anything differently per edition. Anti-AFK, auto-reconnect, chat, and automated commands all work the same on both.
