FAQ

Local client or web client?

Compare MinecraftAFK's free local client for Windows with the web client: where your accounts run, how many you can use, and which features each one has.

MinecraftAFK comes in two forms. The local client, AFK Console Client, is a free Windows app, and your accounts run on your own computer. The web client runs them on our servers, and you manage them from the dashboard in any browser. The rest of these docs are about the web client.

The local client

  • It's a free download from the local client page, for Windows 10 and newer.
  • It runs up to 5 accounts, Java (signed in with Microsoft) or cracked. It doesn't run Bedrock accounts.
  • Your accounts are online only while your PC is on and the app is running. Shut the PC down, or let it sleep, and they go offline with it.
  • It has no proxy support, so your accounts connect from your own internet connection.
  • Your accounts' sign-in tokens stay on your PC and never reach us, which is the choice to make if you'd rather no hosted service held that access. See Is AFK Console Client safe?

The web client

  • Your accounts run on our servers around the clock, so your PC can be off. See Can I AFK with my computer turned off?
  • You manage them from any phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install.
  • It needs a paid plan: Client access walks you through getting one.

Which one to pick

Pick the local client if a few Java or cracked accounts while you're at your PC is all you need.

Pick the web client if your accounts have to stay online while your PC is off, or you want more than 5 accounts, Bedrock accounts, a proxy, the POV or macros.
