Streamer mode
Streamer mode keeps your Minecraft account names off the screen. Switch it on before you stream the dashboard, record it or share your screen, and each of your accounts is shown by an alias instead: account_1, account_2 and so on. It covers the account lists, popups and messages across the dashboard, and the names a server writes into chat and the POV. What it hides lists the places.
It only changes what your browser shows. Commands, macro settings, ignore lists and everything else the dashboard sends keep the real names, so your bots run exactly as before. Streamer mode is on every plan.
Turn it on
- Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/user/settings/, or click your name at the bottom of the dashboard sidebar and pick User Settings.
- Find the Preferences card, under Minecraft connections.
- Switch Streamer mode on.
The names change as soon as the switch does, with nothing to save or reload, and so do the other dashboard tabs open in the same browser. Pages load with the aliases already in place, so a reload doesn't flash the real names.
Saved in this browser
The card's own line says it: "How the dashboard looks in this browser." Streamer mode is kept in a cookie in the browser you switched it on in, not on your MinecraftAFK account. So:
- Switch it on in every browser you stream or record from. Your phone, and any other browser, keep showing the real names until you switch it on there too.
- Clearing the browser's cookies switches it off, and a private window starts with it off.
- The browser keeps the setting for a year from the last time you change it, then forgets it.
How the names are numbered
Your accounts are numbered in name order across your whole Accounts page, not per server profile: the name that comes first alphabetically is account_1, the next account_2, and so on. Capital letters don't matter, and a number in a name counts by its value, so Bot2 comes before Bot10.
- An account has the same alias on every page and every profile. A profile with only some of your accounts shows their own numbers, such as
account_2andaccount_5. - A list sorted by name has the same order with streamer mode on or off.
- Adding or deleting an account moves the numbers of the accounts that come after it.
- A Java and a Bedrock account with the same name share one alias, since a server's chat and player list can't tell them apart either.
- Searches go by the names as shown: the Filter... boxes (the chat's included), the searches in the account pickers, and Search bots in the POV. Search for
account_3, not the real name.
What it hides
With streamer mode on, your accounts show by their aliases here:
- Accounts page. The table, the delete confirmations, the skin and cape dialogs, re-authenticating, and the messages after you add an account.
- Connect page. The account table and the list of accounts below it, with the hints on their statuses and warnings. The connection error popups, the warnings about an account already connected elsewhere, the account logs (the server's kick text included), and the messages after adding, removing or reconnecting accounts.
- Account pickers and lists. The lists you pick accounts from in chat, spam messages, movement, the inventory, macros and webhooks, the Movement page's Overview table, and the lists that open from a countdown, such as Next run by account.
- Chat. Names in the chat lines, the Received by list on a line's card, the commands listed under Click events, and the hints on the GUI open and Macro running badges.
- POV. The name on each bot's card and at the top of fullscreen, the chat, the player list (Tab) with its header and footer, the scoreboard sidebar, titles and subtitles, the action bar, boss bars, the name tags over players, and the bot's name on the debug screen (F3). Name A-Z sorts by alias, and Save Selection... starts its Name with the alias.
- Macros page. Who set a macro off, the Stop condition details, the alert about an account another macro is holding, the problems in Status, the Macro logs of window, the kept values under Keep between runs, and the accounts the builder shows on a step.
- A profile's Proxies page. The account chips and the notices about them.
- Minecraft connections. Your accounts among the players under Authorised right now on User settings, and the Minecraft name on the approval page (see Play from your Minecraft client).
In chat, the POV and the other text a server writes, names are found as whole words, in any capitals. A name the server colours letter by letter is still found, and so is a Bedrock gamertag the way Floodgate writes it on a Java server, with underscores for its spaces. An account named after an ordinary word swaps that word too, wherever it stands on its own: with an account called Zombie that is account_4, "a zombie spawner" reads "a account_4 spawner".
What it doesn't hide
Streamer mode only swaps your own accounts' names, and only on your screen. These still show:
- Skins. As the card says, their skins still show: the heads beside the names, and the players in the POV. Anyone who knows a skin can still tell whose account it is.
- Other players' names. A player who isn't one of your accounts keeps their name, on the Minecraft connections card and the approval page too.
- What you type. The message box shows what you type, and its suggestions list player names as the server sends them, your accounts' included. Spam messages, macro names, ignore lists, the players you list in a macro and the Email you type to add an account stay as you wrote them, and Microsoft's login page shows that email too. A line you send is swapped like any other once it comes back into chat.
- Clickable chat. A clickable part of chat keeps the server's real text: Put in the chat box fills the box with it, and Copy copies it.
- Copies and downloads. Copy account name copies the real name. Copy and Download in an account's or a macro's logs keep the real names, which is what support needs; only a downloaded account log's file name uses the alias. A selection saved as a
.schemor.litematicfile records the bot's real name as its author. - Items, signs and screens. Item names and tooltips in inventories and the hotbar, the text on signs, and the titles of chests and the other screens a server opens show as the server wrote them.
- Places and your own details. Server profile names and addresses, coordinates (on the debug screen and under the Movement page's map), the IP addresses on the approval page and in the End this session? popup, and your e-mail address, Discord username and username on User settings and in the user menu. The Coordinates in the Movement page's Overview and the addresses under Authorised right now are blurred until you hover over them, with streamer mode on or off.
- Posts and notifications. Discord webhook posts and push notifications are written on our servers, so their
{account}is still the bot's real name. See Placeholders. - Screen reader labels. Some labels only a screen reader reads out keep the real names.
Skins and capes
Change the skin of your Java and Bedrock accounts, and the cape of your Java accounts, from the accounts page, for one account or every ticked account at once. Upload a PNG skin, pick Classic or Slim arms, or put on a cape the accounts own.
Ready-made server setups
Start a server profile for DonutSMP, HugoSMP or another popular server from a ready-made setup: which servers have one, what it switches on, the macros it adds and what to check afterwards.
