Auto sell
Auto sell turns what your bots collect into money while you're away. On DonutSMP and HugoSMP, selling runs through a sell axe and a sell menu, and we wrote an official macro for each: Sell axe keeps a sell axe swinging for the whole session, and Sell menu empties the inventory into the server's sell menu each time it fills. On a server that sells some other way, or to sell on a clock, build the loop yourself.
What you need
- Tier 3. Both official macros use Tier 3 features: Sell axe holds a mouse button, Sell menu runs a loop on the Inventory full event, and both carry stop conditions. The Timer event a loop of your own runs on is Tier 3 too.
- Physics on, for Sell axe. Its held left click runs on the physics tick, so with physics off the account looks up, holds the axe and never swings. Physics is on unless you turned it off in the profile's dangerous settings.
- The sell axe in the hotbar. The macro switches to it the way pressing a number key does, so an axe in the main inventory isn't found.
- Food, for Sell axe. It switches auto eat on, which eats what the account already carries. With nothing to eat the account goes hungry, and starving can set off its stop for being hit.
- Your server's sell command, for Sell menu. It sends
/sellunless you change it.
Build the macro
This one empties the account's inventory into a sell menu every few minutes, on a server whose sell command opens one:
- Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/servers/, open the server profile, and open its Macros page.
- Click Create macro, click the event card and pick Timer under Runs when. Set Interval to how often to sell, five minutes to begin with. To sell only once there's no room left, as Sell menu does, pick Inventory full instead.
- Click Add step and pick Chat. Under Message, type the sell command.
- Add a Wait for step and pick Window opens under Wait until, so nothing is clicked before the menu is there.
- Add a Use inventory step. Set Action to Shift Left, then click every slot to sell in the grid, in the order to sell them. Leave out the slots that hold what the account has to keep, such as its food or its sell axe.
- Add a Close GUI step.
- Pick the accounts it runs on and click Create macro at the top right.
If your server sells everything with one command and no menu, the Chat step is the whole macro.
Or add the official macro
| Macro | What it does |
|---|---|
| Sell axe | On join, crouches, switches to your sell axe, looks straight up and holds left click, which keeps the axe swinging until the account logs off or the macro stops. Then it switches auto eat on. |
| Sell menu | When the inventory fills, and straight away if it's already full when the macro starts, sends the sell command, waits for the menu to open, shift-clicks all 36 of the account's own slots into it, hotbar first, and closes it. It goes round again for as long as the inventory is still full. |
- Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/servers/, open the server profile, and open its Macros page.
- Find Sell axe or Sell menu in the Macro library and click Add.
- Under Settings, tick the accounts it Runs on and fill in its settings:
- Sell axe asks for the Item to hold, a netherite axe to begin with: pick your server's sell axe.
- Sell menu asks for the Sell command,
/sellto begin with. - Both have Stop and log out if the account is hit and Stop and log out when a player comes into view, on to begin with. Under the second, Except these players takes friends who should never stop it. Your own accounts are skipped automatically.
- Click Next, check the steps under What it does and anything under Before it runs, then click Add macro.
It lands switched on. Sell axe runs at the account's next join, so press Run macro now, the paper plane on its row, to start it straight away. Both need Tier 3, and on Tier 3 a DonutSMP or HugoSMP profile made with its ready-made setup already has both, switched off: click each to check its settings, then switch it on.
To change an official macro's steps, pick Make an editable copy in its row's ⋮ menu: you get a macro of your own in the builder, switched off, which we no longer update. On HugoSMP, the seven official spawner farms empty one spawner over and over, then sell what comes out or list it on the /order market. Official macros lists them all, and says how we keep every copy up to date.
Keep it safe
- Stop conditions. With their two stop settings on, both official macros stand down when the account is hit or a player you haven't listed comes into view, and log the account out where it stands. A macro of your own can do the same: click Add stop condition on the frame round the flow, pick Damaged or Player appears under Stops when, and tick End with panic logout action. See Stop conditions.
- The axe stops with the macro. Hold left click has Release when the macro stops ticked to begin with, so a stopped Sell axe stops swinging. Stop conditions are watched between runs as well, so a hold set going at join still lets go when a player walks up hours later.
- Starting again. A stopped macro stays stopped on that account. The button in its Stop condition column on the Macros page brings it back: Reconnect after a panic logout, Start again if the account stayed on. See Starting again after a stop.
- Auto eat stays on. Sell axe switches it on as a setting, so it carries on after the macro stops, until a Disable auto eat step or the Movement page switches it off.
Good to know
- Close what you open. The bot won't chat while a menu is open, so a Chat step is skipped until a Close GUI runs. The builder can't see a menu that a command opened, so close it yourself, as step 6 does. See Use GUI.
- Check the command first. If it opens nothing, the Wait for step gives up after 30 seconds and the shift-clicks land in the account's own inventory, which sells nothing. Try it once by hand in the POV: press T, send the command, and check that the menu opens. Esc closes it again.
- Where it stands. Nothing in either macro walks: Sell axe swings from wherever the account stands, so park it there first.
- Leave Look around off. Anti-AFK's Look around turns the head, and the aim of a held click with it, so a sell axe turned off the sky can start hitting what's in front of it.
- Shards and stars. DonutSMP pays shards anywhere on the server, so an account selling at your base still earns them. HugoSMP pays stars only in its AFK zone.
- Don't only AFK. Both servers are known to have banned accounts that never did anything else, so play on yours now and then. See Can I get banned for only AFKing?
Macros is the reference for every step here, and Running macros covers the Macros page, stop conditions and the logs.
Mob grinding
Keep a Minecraft bot killing mobs at your farm or grinder around the clock: a macro turns it to each mob that comes within reach and holds left click.
Spawner protection
Have a Minecraft bot mine your spawners and log out the moment a stranger comes into view, with the official Spawner protect macro for DonutSMP and HugoSMP or one you build yourself.
