Play from your Minecraft client

Join your servers from your own copy of Minecraft as one of your accounts, from the same address its bot uses, to pass a captcha or check yourself.

You can join your servers from your own copy of Minecraft, as one of your accounts, through MinecraftAFK. You connect from the same proxy address that account's bot uses. So when a server ties a check to the address, like a join captcha, you can pass it yourself, and it still counts when the bot connects afterwards.

It's made for a check like that, not for long sessions: each visit to a server lasts at most 15 minutes. For most things the POV is quicker, since it shows the bot's view in your browser and plays as it. Minehut's captcha, for example, can be answered either way.

Before you start

  • Minecraft: Java Edition. Not every release can join. If yours can't, the message you're disconnected with names the ones that can.
  • A Java or cracked account. Bedrock accounts aren't offered.
  • The account offline in the dashboard. An account can only be on a server once, and a second login kicks one of the two, usually your bot. So an account that is online or connecting in the dashboard shows as In use in the game and can't be picked. Disconnect it first.

Connect from Minecraft

  1. In Minecraft, go to Multiplayer, then Add Server, and enter mc.minecraftafk.com as the server address. This goes in the game, not in your dashboard's server profiles. The same steps are on the Minecraft connections card in User settings, where clicking the address copies it.
  2. Join it. You're held in a waiting area, and a link appears in the game chat.
  3. Click the Click here to authorise line. If clicking does nothing, which happens on clients that handle chat links their own way, the line under it prints the link as text: open that in your browser.
  4. In your browser, the link opens Authorise a Minecraft connection. You need to be signed in to MinecraftAFK there. Check the request (see below), then click Approve this connection.
  5. The page says Connection approved. Back in the game, Your servers lists your server profiles. Click one, then the account to play as, and you're moved to that server as that account.

Stay in the game while you approve: the link works once, for 10 minutes, and stops working the moment you disconnect. The approval page counts down under Link expires. If it runs out, rejoin mc.minecraftafk.com for a new link.

A profile set to a different version than your game is marked with a warning in the list. You can still pick it, since many servers accept several versions.

Check before you approve

The approval page shows who is asking:

RowWhat it is
Minecraft nameThe name the player joined with. Nothing checks it, so anyone can join with any name, yours included.
Your IPThe address of the browser you're reading the page in.
Connecting IPThe address the player joined from, with a badge comparing the two: Matches your IP, Doesn't match your IP or Can't compare with your IP.
RequestedHow long ago the request was made.
Link expiresHow long is left to approve.

When the two addresses match, it's your own request. When they don't, a warning says so. That's normal if you joined on one device and opened the link on another, for example on a PC at home while you read this on mobile data. If you didn't join mc.minecraftafk.com yourself just now, don't approve. This wasn't me takes you to your dashboard without approving anything.

The page also says what approving does. For the next 8 hours, that player can:

  • see every server profile on your account
  • connect to servers as any of your Minecraft accounts

That is the risk, said plainly: whoever you approve can play as every account you have, on any of your servers, for 8 hours. We will never send you a link like this that you didn't start yourself. If one reaches you some other way, from someone in the game or in a Discord message, refuse it.

How long it lasts

An approval lasts 8 hours from the moment you approve, and playing doesn't extend it. Within those 8 hours, joining mc.minecraftafk.com again with the same name from the same address takes you straight to your server profiles, with no new link.

Each visit to a server is capped at 15 minutes, and the game warns you before it ends. When it does, you're disconnected. Join mc.minecraftafk.com again to start another visit.

Ending a session

Every approval you've made is listed under Authorised right now on the Minecraft connections card, with the player's name, the address they joined from (blurred until you hover over it or click it), when you approved it and when it ends.

  1. Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/user/settings/.
  2. On the Minecraft connections card, find the session under Authorised right now and click End session.
  3. Confirm with End session.

The player is disconnected from Minecraft straight away and loses access to your server profiles and accounts. They can ask for your approval again at any time, with a new link. The Manage connections button on the approval page leads to the same card.

End a session as soon as you're done, especially on a shared network such as a school, a dorm or public Wi-Fi: until it ends, anyone there who joins with the same name gets straight in.

Log out from all devices in your account settings doesn't end these sessions. It signs out browsers, and a Minecraft session isn't one, so end it on this card.
