Save builds as schematics
Any build your bot is standing near can be saved as a file: a schematic to paste with WorldEdit, a Litematica file to build from, or a world to walk around in singleplayer. You mark it from the bot's POV, and the file is made in your browser from the copy of the world the bot already holds, so saving sends nothing to the Minecraft server. It's on every plan.
You need the bot online with its live world open in fullscreen, which needs physics on (see What you need), on a server running Minecraft 1.13 or newer.
Mark the corners
- Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/servers/.
- Click the server profile you wish to use, then the POV page.
- Open the bot fullscreen with the button on its card.
- Go to one corner of the build. Walk the bot there, or press F6 and fly the freecam there, which leaves the bot where it is.
- Press Esc and click Set Pos 1. The button reads Pos 1 set for a moment.
- Go to the opposite corner, press Esc and click Set Pos 2.
A corner is the block you're in: the one the bot's feet are in, or the freecam's own spot while it's out, so a corner can be in mid-air or inside a wall. The selection is the box between the two, and both corner blocks are part of it, so put them at opposite ends of what you want to keep, the way WorldEdit's two positions work.
Back in the game the box is outlined in yellow, with Pos 1 in red and Pos 2 in blue. Setting a corner again moves it.
Corners belong to the bot you set them on, so each bot can have its own. They last until you reload or close the tab.
Save the selection
- Press Esc and click Save Selection.... It stays greyed out until both corners are set.
- Check the two corners and the size, shown as width x height x length with the number of blocks.
- Type a Name. It starts as the bot's name and today's date, and it becomes the file's name.
- Click Format until it shows the one you want.
- Click Save. Your browser downloads the file, and the screen says Saved with the file's name.
Back, or Esc, returns to the Game Menu.
Formats
- Schematic (.schem) is the Sponge schematic WorldEdit reads, in the version every WorldEdit 7 opens; FastAsyncWorldEdit and Litematica read it too. Load it with
//schem load, then//pasteputs the box's lowest corner at your feet and//paste -oputs it back where it was taken from. - Litematica (.litematic) is for the Litematica mod: one region, the size of the box. It's written in the format the server's version uses, because Litematica refuses a file newer than itself.
- World (.zip) is a singleplayer world with the build standing alone in an empty void: creative with cheats on, peaceful, always day, with no weather and no mobs, and you spawn on top of the build. Unzip it into your Minecraft
savesfolder and it shows up in the world list.
Every file is stamped with the server's Minecraft version, so open it in that version or a newer one. A newer game, or a newer WorldEdit or Litematica, upgrades it the way the game upgrades any old world.
Limits
- Minecraft 1.13 or newer. On an older server the screen says "Saving needs Minecraft 1.13 or newer".
- 8,388,608 blocks in one save, the volume of a 256 x 128 x 256 box. A bigger selection says "Too big: one save holds up to 8,388,608 blocks". Split it into two saves.
- Every chunk the box touches has to be loaded by the bot. A bot only holds the world around it, as far as the server's view distance reaches, and a chunk it never received would come out as air. So instead of a file with holes in it you get "The bot has not loaded 3 chunks of this selection. Move it closer and save again."
What's kept
The blocks are saved exactly, with their full state: which way stairs face, which half a slab is on, whether a door is open, whether a block is waterlogged.
Sign text is kept too, front and back, as plain words. Its colour and glow are not.
Nothing else a block stores is kept: a chest saves empty, and a banner comes out plain. Mobs, players, item frames, armor stands, paintings and dropped items are not blocks, so none of them are saved.
POV
See what your Minecraft accounts see and play them from the browser: the live world, the HUD, chat and the inventory, with keyboard, mouse or touch controls.
