How does the referral program work?

The referral program is open to every MinecraftAFK account, with or without a plan. You share a link. A friend who has never had a plan gets a discount on their first payment, and you earn a share of what they pay, as credit toward your own plan. The figures below are today's; the Referrals page always shows the ones that apply to you.

Get your link

1. Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/user/referrals/, or click Referrals in your user menu.
2. Click Get my referral link.

The page then shows Your code and Your link, each with a copy button, and a QR code of the link. Under the QR code, Download QR code saves it as a picture with your code on it. On a phone, Share QR code sends the picture straight to an app; elsewhere, Copy QR code copies it.

What your friend gets

Friends who have never had a MinecraftAFK plan get 10% off their first payment. Opening your link saves your code in their browser for 30 days, and checkout fills it in for them. They can also type the code into Promo code at checkout instead. Whether they qualify is checked when they buy, and they have to sign in for the code to apply.

A referral code can't be used for a gift, on your own account, or by someone you were referred by.

What you earn

You earn 20% of what each friend pays for their subscription, renewals included, for as long as they stay subscribed. It's worked out on what they actually paid, after discounts and without VAT. The percentages that apply to your code are the ones in effect when you got it.

Your share arrives as account credit:

• It becomes available 14 days after the payment that earned it. Until then it shows as Pending, with the date the next amount becomes available.
• Available credit comes off your next payment automatically, including the first payment of a new plan. See Account credit.
• It stays on your account if you have no plan, and it lapses if you delete your account.
• It can't be used for gifts, transferred or paid out as cash.
• If a payment that earned credit is refunded or charged back, the credit it earned is taken back. If you had already spent it, your balance can go below zero until new credit settles it. You're never charged for that.

The Account credit panel shows what's available now, what's Pending, Friends subscribed and Total earned. Below it, Credit activity lists every reward and every payment the credit went toward. Your friends are never named there.

Your code

Your code is REF- followed by 4 to 16 letters or numbers, for example REF-STEVE. To pick your own, click Change code, type the part after REF- under New code, and click Change code again. Keep it free of profanity, slurs and other derogatory language.

Before you change it:

• The old code and its link stop working for new friends, so share your new link afterwards. Friends who already used the old one keep earning you credit.
• Once friends have used a code, it can only be changed now and then. Until you can change it again, the field says when.
• If a code is taken, pick another.

Sharing rules

Share your link with people who want it. These four are not allowed, and breaking them can cost you the credit it earned, or your code:

• No advertising in our Discord. Don't post your code, link or QR code in the MinecraftAFK Discord server.
• No unsolicited messages. Only send them to people who asked for them or agreed to receive them.
• No self-referrals. Don't use your own code through another account or someone acting for you, and don't create accounts to earn credit.
• No misleading or prohibited promotion. No misleading claims, no paid advertising that uses our name or brand, and no coupon or discount websites.

If our team switches your code off, the Referrals page says so, and the code stops giving a discount. Credit you already have stays yours, though if your balance is put on hold as well, it can't be used until the hold is lifted. Creator codes

Content creators who have an agreement with us get a creator code, set up by our team, in place of a referral code. It works the same way at checkout, with three differences:

• Your link is your tracking link: minecraftafk.com/?utm_source=yt&utm_campaign= followed by your campaign name. Opening it applies your code at checkout, the same as a referral link.
• Only our team changes the code, because it's printed in videos and descriptions you can't edit afterwards. The field says Ask us to change it.
• You're paid by bank transfer under your creator agreement, so the page shows Earnings and Payouts in place of account credit.

The discount your audience gets and your share are set in your agreement, and the Referrals page shows both.
