Ready-made server setups

Start a server profile for DonutSMP, HugoSMP or another popular server from a ready-made setup: which servers have one, what it switches on, the macros it adds and what to check afterwards.

A ready-made setup is a server profile preset for a popular server. Pick the server, and the new profile gets its name, its address and anti-AFK without you filling them in. The DonutSMP and HugoSMP setups also add macros made for those servers, paused until you've read what they need.

Start your first profile from one on the welcome page, or apply one in the Add Server form. Setups are on every plan. Most of the macros they add are official macros, which need Tier 3.

Servers with a setup

Every setup switches on anti-AFK. Only DonutSMP's and HugoSMP's add macros as well.

What a setup sets

SettingSet to
Profile nameThe server's name, such as DonutSMP
Server IPThe server's address from the table above
Java versionThe newest supported version
Anti AFKOn, with Swing arm every 30 seconds

In the Add Server form, a name you typed yourself stays, and Apply setup keeps the address you typed.

Swing arm leaves the bot where it stands. Choosing actions covers the other actions, if a server needs more.

A setup sets nothing else. The Bedrock port follows the server IP, and join delay, auto reconnect, physics and the rest start at the same defaults as on any new profile, listed in Server profile settings.

Macros

SetupMacrosPlans
DonutSMPSell axe, Sell menu and Spawner protectTier 3
HugoSMPA Join macro that sends /afkEvery plan
HugoSMPSell axe, Sell menu, Spawner protect and the seven spawner farms: Skeleton, Iron golem, Spider, Blaze, Zombified piglin, Cow and Creeper spawnerTier 3

The Join macro sends /afk in chat 5 seconds after an account joins, which takes it to HugoSMP's AFK zone, where stars are earned. DonutSMP's setup has no join command, since DonutSMP pays shards anywhere on the server. The spawner farms are HugoSMP's alone because they list their drops on its /order market. What each official macro does is in Official macros.

  • They arrive paused. Every macro a setup adds has its switch off, so nothing runs until you switch it on.
  • They run on every account on the profile, including accounts you add later.
  • They're added in the order above, so on HugoSMP the /afk macro is first in the list.
  • The official ones stay linked to the macro library, the same as if you'd added them from it: Configure in the row's menu sets them up, and our updates reach them by themselves. The /afk macro is your own, and opens in the builder.
  • The official ones need Tier 3 when the profile is created. On Tier 1 or Tier 2, or before you have a plan, a setup adds only the macros your plan can run: nothing on DonutSMP, and the /afk macro on HugoSMP. Upgrading later doesn't bring the others; add them from the macro library then.

On the welcome page

The dashboard opens on the welcome page while you have no server profiles: before your first, and again after you delete your last. That's where a setup takes one click.

  1. Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/. With no server profiles yet, you land on Welcome to MinecraftAFK.
  2. Find the server among the cards. The strip starts with DonutSMP in the middle and the others to both sides: drag it, or scroll it sideways.
  3. Click the server's card.

The profile is created straight away, with no form, and you land on its Connect page. When the setup added macros, the message that confirms it says so, such as "Its macros were added paused, so check the setup notes on the macros page before switching them on."

A card always uses the server's own name and address and the newest Java version, which you can change afterwards on the profile's Settings page. To start with a different address, click Create a custom server under the cards instead. It opens the Add Server form, where the setup can still be applied.

In the Add Server form

  1. Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/servers/.
  2. Click the top left button Add Server.
  3. Type the server's address in Server IP. If it has a setup, a line under the field says so once you stop typing, like "DonutSMP has a ready-made setup." Click Apply setup at the end of it. To pick from the list instead, click Browse setups beside the field and click the server. The search box at the top of the list narrows it down.
  4. Click Create server. You land on the new profile's Connect page.

Once a setup is applied, a note under the fields says what it adds, such as "DonutSMP setup applied. It configures anti-AFK and adds macros paused, so you can check their setup notes on the macros page before switching them on." When it adds no macros, for that server or on your plan, the note mentions anti-AFK alone.

Applying a setup fills in the form. The Profile name becomes the server's name unless you typed one, and the Java version goes to the newest. Apply setup keeps the address as you typed it, while Browse setups puts in the server's own address from the table.

After that, you can still change the name and the Java version, and the setup stays on. Editing the Server IP takes it off; if the new address has a setup too, the line offers it again. Remove setup, at the end of the note, takes the setup off and leaves the fields as they are, so the profile is created like any other: anti-AFK off and no macros.

Apply setup is offered for the server's own address and for any address under it, with or without a port, so play.donutsmp.net:25565 is offered DonutSMP's setup. So is a shorter address the server's own sits under, like manacube.com for ManaCube's play.manacube.com. Nothing is offered while the address has a mistake the form won't save, like a pasted https:// link, until it's fixed.

Browse setups always puts the setup's own address in the field. For a server at an address under it, like an Aternos server at yourserver.aternos.me, type your address and use Apply setup, which keeps it.

On a profile you already have

A setup is applied when a profile is created, and can't be added to one you already have. You can give an existing profile the same start by hand:

  1. Open the profile's Settings page. Under Extra settings, switch on Anti AFK, tick Swing arm and set the delay to 30 seconds.
  2. On its Macros page, add the official macros from the macro library. They need Tier 3.
  3. For HugoSMP's /afk, create a macro that runs on Join, with a Chat step that sends /afk and Wait before this step set to 5 seconds.

What to check afterwards

  • Accounts. A new profile has none: add your accounts on its Connect page and connect them.
  • Anti-AFK. It's under Extra settings on the profile's Settings page, if the server needs a different action or delay.
  • The Java version. A setup picks the newest supported version. If the server doesn't accept it, pick another under Java version in Server information. The change applies the next time an account connects.
  • The macros, on DonutSMP and HugoSMP. Open each official one with Configure in its row's ⋮ menu, or by clicking the row. Settings has what you can change, such as the item to hold, the sell command and the friends who should never set it off, and Review lists what to arrange under Before it runs. Then switch on the ones you want. Spawner protect breaks your spawners when a player you haven't listed comes into view, so only switch it on where that's what you want.
  • HugoSMP's spawner farms. There's one for each kind of spawner, and each needs the account parked in front of that spawner before you switch it on. Keep a farm to the accounts at its spawner with Runs on in Configure. The /afk macro takes an account away from its spawner when it joins, so switch it off, or untick the farming accounts in its account list.
  • A macro that didn't save. If one couldn't be saved, the profile is created anyway and a message names the macro, such as "Server created, but one macro couldn't be saved". Add it again yourself: an official one from the macro library, and the /afk macro by hand.
  • More accounts on HugoSMP. It pays stars to one account per IP address, so read How do I get stars on HugoSMP? before you add more.
