Play on your phone
The dashboard works in your phone's or tablet's browser, with nothing to install. In the POV, touch controls take the place of the keyboard and mouse: two thumbsticks to walk and look, and buttons for everything else.
What you need
- A phone or tablet. A touchscreen laptop switches to the touch controls when you touch the screen, and back when you use the mouse.
- A web client plan. All of the POV is on every plan. The Movement page still needs Tier 2 or Tier 3, and the Inventory page Tier 3.
- The bot online, with physics on. Walking also needs a Java account. See What you need on the POV page.
Open a bot
- Visit minecraftafk.com/dashboard/servers/.
- Tap the server profile you wish to use.
- Tap the POV page. On a phone, the profile's pages are in the menu at the top left.
- Tap the card of a bot that's online, which reads Tap to control. It opens fullscreen.
On touch everything is done fullscreen, and a card only shows the bot. The fullscreen button on a card opens any bot, and an offline one shows a Connect button. To leave, tap the exit button in the top right corner or Exit Fullscreen in the Game Menu.
The controls
Upright, the Move stick sits under the view on the left and the Look stick on the right, each with four buttons round it, and Camera view, Zoom and Player list between them. The rest are in the bar above the view.
The buttons are icons without names, and the info button at the top says what each one does. A button that switches something on is lit while it's on.

Held on its side
Held on its side, a phone or tablet gives the view the whole screen: the sticks float in its bottom corners, the other buttons line up along the top, and those over the picture are see-through until lit.
- Android and iPad: the browser goes fullscreen too, straight away, or when you next lift your fingers if you turned the device after opening the view. Turn it upright to get the browser back. If you swipe fullscreen away, it stays off until you turn the device upright or reopen the view.
- iPhone: Safari can't make a page fullscreen, so only the layout changes. The Home Screen app has no Safari bars at all.
While chat is open the sticks step aside, and the cross at the end of the chat bar closes it.
Walk and look
- Move walks in eight directions at walking pace: the bot never sprints. A thumb that lands near the top of the stick already walks forward, and one that slides off the edge keeps steering.
- Jump jumps while you hold it. Sneak is a switch: tap to crouch, tap again to stand. A screen opening stands the bot up, as in game.
- Look turns the camera, slowly for a small push and fast for a full one. Dragging the view aims more finely. The Game Menu's Sensitivity sets the speed of both.
Each stick follows its own thumb, and Jump, Sneak, Hit and Use act as your finger lands, so one thumb can walk while the other acts. When the bot can't walk, a push says why.
Hit and use
Hit and Use are the left and right mouse buttons. They act on what the crosshair in the middle of the view is on, within a click's reach (4.5 blocks for blocks, 3 for mobs).
- Hit hits a mob or breaks a block. Hold it to keep breaking, block after block as you aim.
- Use places a block, opens a chest or uses the held item. Hold it to place a row as you sweep, eat, draw a bow (let go to shoot) or keep a shield up.
- Drop one throws one of the held item where you're looking. Tap a hotbar slot to hold another item.
Walk there
- Tap Walk there. It lights up, and the block in the middle of the view is outlined in aqua, with Walk here and its distance under the crosshair.
- Turn the view onto the spot, with a drag or Look.
- Tap Walk there again, and the bot walks there by itself.
Aimed at the sky, the second tap sends nothing. Pushing Move stops a walk. See Walk to where you aim for the rest.
Inventory and chests
Items opens the bot's inventory, and a container the bot opens comes up by itself. Tap Items again to close it, on the server too.
Tapping a slot opens a sheet with the item's details and a button for each action:
- Pick up, Pick up half, Quick move, Drop one and Drop stack, plus Use item on a hotbar slot with no container open.
- With a stack in hand, Place here (or Swap / place here) and Place one.
- On a crafter's empty slot, Disable slot or Enable slot.
A drop from the sheet asks first. Holding a slot quick-moves it without the sheet, except on the plain panel a horse's or a modded window gets. Dragging across slots and double-clicking need a mouse. The Inventory page uses the same sheet.
Chat
Chat opens the chat bar along the bottom. Type, and send with the keyboard's Enter key. The ▲ and ▼ buttons at the end of the bar bring back the messages you've sent, as ↑ and ↓ do on a keyboard. A command brings up the game's suggestions: tap one to fill it in. With chat open, tap a part of a message the server made clickable (underlined with dots) to use it. To close chat, tap Chat again, or on its side the cross at the end of the bar.
The view's own buttons
These only change what you see, so apart from Freecam they keep working while a macro runs.
- Map shows the minimap, and Player tracers draws lines to the other players. With nobody about, the lit button is how you tell tracers are on.
- Zoom and Player list are switches rather than holds, so your thumbs stay on the sticks. Zoomed, dragging and Look turn more slowly, and a screen opened over the view sets the zoom aside until it closes.
- Camera view steps through first person and both third person views.
- Freecam takes the camera out of the bot. Move flies it, and Jump and Sneak (held) take it up and down, at normal speed, since only a mouse wheel changes that. Walk there then aims from the camera, to send the bot somewhere it can't see.
- Debug screen is the F3 screen.
While a macro is running
While a macro runs on the bot, the camera rides along and everything that touches the bot stands down: the view says "A macro is running. Take over to control this bot." Tap Take over, beside the macro's name at the top left, to get the bot back.
Tooltips
Tooltips work by touch across the dashboard, which matters where one is the only explanation, such as why a button is greyed out.
- Tap something that does nothing of its own, such as an icon or a greyed-out button, to open its tooltip, and again to close it.
- Hold a button or a link for half a second to read its tooltip without pressing it.
Add it to your Home Screen
From your Home Screen, the dashboard opens like an app, in its own window without the browser's address bar, and on a phone straight onto your server profiles.
On an iPhone or iPad:
- Open the dashboard in Safari.
- Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Open MinecraftAFK from your Home Screen.
On Android, add it from your browser's menu.
On an iPhone or iPad, only the Home Screen app gets push notifications, from iOS 16.4. Turn them on in Settings inside the app, which counts as a device of its own.
